The Fit
Now, I have always had a big head (this is serious, get your mind out of the gutter). Due to this, hats were never my thing. Luckily I have been blessed with a great head of hair. Now that I found Melin, I could go bald tomorrow and I would enjoy wearing my Melin hats everyday still. They fit properly, and I don’t have to put it on the second to last snap just to get it on top of my dome. The best part, I didn’t even order the XL. This hat fits amazing, the depth on my head, where the brim sits, the bend, the feel, every part of this thing has been thought through and executed precisely. If you are looking for a hat that others will ask for you, look no further. Melin hats are made to stand out in a good way. They are designed to give you the fit you want out of a hat. No more does it sit too low, does it fit my face, etc. It fits and it looks great while doing it!
What makes it special
Now I don’t know which hat you are looking at, but let me tell you what I have noticed after 2 years of owning my Melin hats. My A Game Hydro hat is perfect for a Michigan summer. I can be out for a run in the heat and the sweatband will keep the sweat from reaching my eyes and won’t ruin the look of the hat when I sweat. And trust me I sweat more than I should. On top of that, if I wander onto one of gorgeous beaches or on someone’s pontoon boat, I don’t have to worry about this hat getting wet. I have dropped it, thrown it, dove into the water with this thing and it still looks as good as new. The part that you don’t think will make an impact is the secret pocket sewn into the lining. You can keep some cash in there without fear it is going to fall out and never worry about not having money on you while out on the water. The fact it is secret is nice incase you leave it on the beach. Now you don’t have cash sitting in your hat for anyone to take when you are busy enjoying yourself elsewhere.
My second hat is the A Game Scout Thermal. I bought this because even though our summers can’t be beat, our winters can be brutal. The addition of lake effect snow can make it even worse to be outside. Now I thought a little extra lining isn’t going to make a huge deal or is going to be too thick and will look funny on my head. I took the risk anyways due to how much I loved my other one, I gave it a chance. This thing keeps my head Warm. I mean if I am moving outside too much, I start to sweat kind of warm. Not only does it do that, I wouldn’t know it has extra lining in it if I was just looking at myself in the mirror. It is a bit heavier, due to the leather brim and metal buckle in the back along with the extra lining, but you don’t notice it while wearing it.
